Head of Sustainable Banking (ESG) | Agricultural Development Bank Plc

Kingsley is currently the Head of Sustainable Banking (ESG) at the Agricultural Development Bank Plc. He is an ESG expert who has been certified by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) / Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) /Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (CIB) led ESG certification program.

He is responsible for facilitating the implementation of all sustainable and ESG related activities, programmes, the Ghana Sustainable Banking Principles, and all ESG initiatives in the bank; whilst ensuring their inclusion in the Bank’s Business Model, internal business operations and any other business practices. He also leads in the development and implementation of ESG, Climate Risk Policies as well as all other policies that promote sustainability in the Bank.
He is responsible for the implementation of an effective Environmental and Social Management System or Risk framework that identifies, measures, assess, mitigate and monitor environmental and social risks and opportunities in the Bank’s lending business whilst ensuring that the Bank creates awareness on sustainability and transparently report on it to its stakeholders.

Kingsley is a is a result-oriented, diligent, self-motivated and hardworking Chartered Banker (Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers –ACIB)) with over 15 years’ experience in the Banking industry spanning core functions such as sustainable banking, providing executive and technical assistance to Executive Directors, Relationship Management, Business development, SME financing, Loan portfolio management, risk management, Retail Banking and Credit Analysis.

Prior to moving to Sustainable Banking, Kingsley served as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Managing Director of ADB from 2017 to 2022 and subsequently as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of the same Bank from 2022 to 2024. Kingsley has also worked as a Relationship Officer, an SME coordinator and a Branch Manager with several financial institutions.

Kingsley Owusu Anom holds a first degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana and a Commonwealth Executive Masters of Business Administration (CEMBA) Degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He had his secondary education at Pope John Senior High school and Junior Seminary. He voluntarily works as a youth coach and a peer counsellor on issues of the youth through sensitization programs to youth groups.
